| IW-413 - Beautiful inkwell. Appears to be brass. I have done some cleaning but it needs further attention so it will come close to its original finish. There are no additional inserts, the metal insert like area is part of the inkwell. The covers are interesting with a swirl design and attach to back of the inkwell. One cap mechanism is in wonderful shape, the other needs a pin and is now being held in place with a wire through the mechanism. This appears to be victorian. I do not think it is any later than that. The corners of the tray section have a decorative relief image. This is a pretty piece and yours for $115.00 which takes the absence of the pin into account. |  |
